I am based in St Albans and work with clients across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hillingdon. I conduct services in a range of crematoria and cemeteries, natural burial sites and alternative venues such as country houses, village halls and golf clubs.
1) A personalised indoor funeral service including the following:
A meeting with the family to establish the tone and feel of the ceremony required. As an independent celebrant, I am happy to conduct both secular ceremonies and ones which include religious elements.
Liaising with the funeral director / arranger and crematorium / cemetery chapel / alternative venue.
Guidance and sourcing of readings.
Guidance and sourcing of music.
Writing of eulogy for family approval.
Writing of funeral script for family approval.
Leading the service / facilitating and standing in reserve should the family desire to deliver the service themselves / a combination of the two.
Providing the family with a keepsake copy of the funeral script.
Charges for a 25-30 minute indoor funeral service start at £260 (£270 from 1.9.24) Double slot ceremonies / indoor ceremonies followed directly by an outdoor burial start at £280 (£290 from 1.9.24)
2) A personalised outdoor funeral service at a cemetery, woodland or meadow burial site including the following:
A meeting with the family to establish the tone and feel of the ceremony required. As an independent celebrant, I am happy to conduct both secular ceremonies and ones which include religious elements.
Assistance finding a livestream facilitator if required.
Liaising with the funeral director / arranger, cemetery / woodland / meadow burial site and livestream facilitator.
Provision of music speaker, table & electric candles if required.
Guidance and sourcing of readings.
Guidance and sourcing of music.

Writing of funeral script for family approval.

4) A combination of a simple burial ceremony at woodland / meadow burial site and a memorial service at a separate venue (same day / separate day) including the following:
A meeting with the family to establish the tone and feel of the woodland / meadow burial and accompanying memorial service. As an independent celebrant, I am happy to conduct both secular ceremonies and ones which include religious elements.
Assistance with finding a woodland / meadow burial site and separate venue for the memorial service.
Assistance sourcing a livestream facilitator if required.
Liaising with the funeral director / arranger, woodland / meadow burial site, memorial service venue and livestream facilitator.
Provision of music speaker, table & electric candles if required.
Guidance and sourcing of reading and prayer / blessing for the burial.
Guidance and sourcing of readings and music for the following memorial service.
Writing of eulogy for family approval.
Writing of ceremonial script for family approval.
Leading both the mini-ceremony at the burial site and the memorial service / facilitating and standing in reserve should the family desire to deliver the ceremonies themselves / a combination of the two.
Providing the family with a keepsake copy of the script.
Charges for a combined service spanning 2 venues and possibly 2 dates start at £355 (£365 from 1.9.24)
5) A personalised interment or scattering of ashes ceremony including the following:
A discussion with the family regarding the mini-ceremony required.
Where appropriate, liaising with the cemetery / land-owners of the burial / scattering site.
Guidance and sourcing of reading and prayer / blessing.
Writing of mini-ceremony for family approval.
Leading the service / facilitating and standing in reserve should the family desire to deliver the service themselves / a combination of the two.
Charges for a interment or scattering of ashes ceremony start at £150 (£160 from 1.9.24) for new clients, and at £75 (£80 from 1.9.24) for existing clients who have already commissioned a funeral / memorial service.
6) Personalised funeral ceremony planning:
Some people want to plan their funeral service before their death - I would love to support you with planning the format, content and location of your ceremony.

Distances of more than 25 miles from St Albans incur a travel expense of 45p/mile.
